Did you realize the artichoke is really a bloom? The leaves are truly petals, and the heart is a lump at the base of the stem. Be that as it may, in contrast to a few blossoms, artichokes taste on a par with they look. The delicate tissue on the leaves has a novel flavor that is difficult to depict, yet similarly as difficult to overlook.
Beginning supper off with a lovely, tasty steamed artichoke sets an exquisite tone for the entire dinner. The issue is, they simply take so darned long to get ready. Steaming an entire artichoke can take somewhere in the range of 20 to 40 minutes, and you need to watch out for the pot the entire time to ensure the water doesn't vaporize.
